Controlling aging treatment quality of SUS630 laminated steel plate
The key is “temperature uniformity, accurate holding, and proper cooling,” combined with process parameter optimization and control:
1. Equipment and furnace atmosphere
Use box or continuous aging furnaces with PID temperature control, ±5°C accuracy.
Install multiple thermocouples (≥3) and calibrate regularly.
Use inert gas (nitrogen) or vacuum to prevent oxidation and decarburization.

2. Process parameters
Set aging temperature according to performance: 480-500°C for high hardness, 550-580°C for toughness; do not exceed this range.
Holding time by thickness: ≤10 mm → 2 h, 10-20 mm → 3 h, >20 mm → 4 h.
Cooling: air cool; avoid water quenching or slow cooling.

3. Process and pre-treatment control
Complete solution treatment before aging; cool to room temperature first.
Maintain ≥50 mm spacing between plates in the furnace.
Process plates of the same thickness and performance per batch.

4. Product inspection
Sample 3-5 plates per batch to test hardness (HRC) and yield strength (1000-1100 MPa, HRC28-38).
Conduct impact tests (≥40J) and corrosion tests (neutral salt spray ≥48 h).
Check surface for oxidation or deformation; reprocess nonconforming products with solution + aging.
