Daily maintenance and corrosion protection of SUS630 laminated steel plate
The core principles are “cleanliness and contamination prevention + passive film protection + environmental adaptation”:
1. Regular cleaning
Frequency: indoor environments every 1-3 months; marine, humid, or industrial areas every 1 month; salt spray environments every 2-4 weeks.
Use water with neutral detergents (e.g., dish soap or stainless steel cleaner) and soft cloth or sponge; avoid steel brushes or hard bristles.
Focus on joints, bolts, and edges where dust, salt, or grease accumulates; rinse thoroughly with water and dry.

2. Passive film protection
Do not scratch the surface with sharp tools or sandpaper; for minor scratches, use stainless steel polish gently.
Avoid strong oxidizing acids (concentrated nitric acid), strong alkalis, or high-chlorine media; if contacted, rinse immediately with plenty of water and neutral detergent.
Inspect the surface periodically; for localized discoloration, apply stainless steel passivation agents to restore corrosion resistance.

3. Environment-specific protection
Marine / salt spray: apply protective coatings (e.g., fluorocarbon, silane) and inspect every 6-12 months; repair damaged areas promptly.
Humid / outdoor: ensure drainage, use water-proof gaskets, and seal gaps with weather-resistant sealants.
Industrial: increase cleaning frequency, use protective covers, and avoid proximity to carbon steel or sulfur-containing materials.

4. Key component maintenance
Welds and bolted joints: check for rust or looseness, remove minor rust, apply anti-rust lubricant, and tighten loose fasteners.
Corners and load-bearing areas: avoid impact or overload; if cracks or corrosion pits are found, stop use and repair or replace the plate.

5. Long-term storage
Clean surface, apply passivation agent or protective coating, wrap with moisture-proof film.
Store in a dry, ventilated indoor location, away from acids, bases, and moisture; separate plates with moisture-proof pads to prevent deformation.
