At the start of the new year, on the morning of January 7, 2025, we received an exciting announcement. The Singapore government drainage channel project undertaken by Xinchao Alloy was successfully delivered, exceeding expectations, and was honored with the “Outstanding Supplier” award for 2024 by Anlian Steel Group, marking a strong start to the new year.
The Singapore drainage channel project, executed by Jiangsu Xinchao Alloy Technology Co., Ltd., involved key municipal drainage system equipment. Each channel measures over 9 meters in length, approximately 6 meters in width, and over 2 meters in depth. Each unit weighs 2 tons, with a total of 7 units amounting to around 14 tons. The material used is 316L austenitic stainless steel. The project had a tight schedule, presenting significant challenges for production and manufacturing.
Before the project began, our technical team conducted extensive research and preparation on the production floor, carefully listened to client requirements, and actively incorporated their suggestions. After receiving the design drawings, the technical department collaborated closely with other departments to develop production plans and organize manufacturing around customer needs. A major challenge was analyzing the drawings; technical personnel spent two weeks coordinating with the client to resolve issues.
Once the drawings were confirmed, 2D designs were converted into 3D models, layouts were prepared, and material cutting commenced.
To ensure timely delivery, the technical department coordinated equipment and manpower resources. Despite harsh weather conditions, a two-shift work schedule was implemented, allowing cutting, bending, and welding to proceed simultaneously for multi-step production. Through careful process management, challenges such as equipment testing under cold conditions were successfully overcome, and the manufacturing task was completed successfully. The experience gained from this project will benefit Xinchao Alloy in producing similar large-scale drainage channels in the future.
